Some of my favorite things are on the back of my sketchbooks.
This is from back in 2009 and is part of my See Series. Here I used acrylic paints.
The series looks at alien invasion and "B" movies.
Big fan of Nick Cave. A quick scribble of the younger version. Use of fine line to capture akimbo pose.
Self Portrait 2012
Using drawing ink to capture a bizzaro face I pulled as reference.
Skull Still Life
Copic markers and Prismacolor to capture the highlights.
'State of Flux' #mimcodesignproject winner
As part of their 20th anniversary in 2016, Mimco reached out to designers to re-imagine the iconic button bag in the #mimcodesignproject competition.
My design 'State of Flux' was lucky enough to be chosen from hundreds of entries as the winner and will be put into production and released next year as part of the 20th anniversary collection.
I will be updating the progress of the design as it moves forward, but the journey can also be tracked on Instagram using the hashtag #mimcodesignproject.
This is a brief overview of traditional illustrations I have created for personal enjoyment.
I have a background in visual arts and create these images with pens, ink, paint... Anything I can get my hands on. I find that keeping visual diaries where I can create things that I want to keeps my ideas fresh, and helps support my commercial work and illustration skills.
